About B.A.B.E. – Be a Beautiful Example TM
Be a Beautiful Example is a powerful brand that promotes the proven concept that girls and women can:
- Develop their self-esteem
- Grow their confidence
- And feel good about themselves
By what they do and not just by how they look.
Our clothing and products combine inspiring ideas with engaging designs for girls, teens and women. Our personalized B.A.B.E. Certificates enable people to “certify the real B.A.B.E.s” in their lives and give them a gift that recognizes them for doing their best and for being truly beautiful examples. The B.A.B.E. Stories we receive and post online spotlight individuals and groups who aid and/or mentor others, as well as those women, girls and teens who commit even the smallest acts of kindness to help make a little bit of difference in the world. That’s what it means to be a real B.A.B.E.
We developed our values-based brand by standing the “babe” label on its head. In so doing we’re advancing the simple idea, that when you make even the smallest improvement in someone’s life, you learn more about your priorities, your values and you grow stronger as an individual.
That’s the new meaning of B.A.B.E.!

Our History
The idea for B.A.B.E. – Be a Beautiful Example, was first developed several years ago by Cheryl Stephens. Chery often reflected on those who were positive role models in her life, particularly her mother, aunt and grandmother. At the same time she was beginning to observe the media, cultural and peer pressure influences on her nieces and granddaughter.
She observed that many girls and women suffer from low self-esteem, and how small acts-of-kindness provided a real boost to one’s self-confidence. Because of these observations, and her experience in apparel, Cheryl decided it was time to shake up the media’s idea of what the word “babe” meant. So she turned the word “babe” into the acronym B.A.B.E. Be a Beautiful Example and, printed it on T-shirts, and a new brand was born.
Since then, a new business was formed, A Better Future Group, LLC, and Cheryl together with her partners (which includes a couple of dads concerned about their daughters’ futures), have developed many new apparel and product designs, B.A.B.E. Certificates and have searched far and wide for stories about people who are “beautiful examples” to others. (which are posted and shared with others around the world daily.)
